Mini Talkshow Digital Parenting: Parenting in the Digital Age ‘Challenges and Solutions in Educating Children in the Midst of Rapid Technological Development’ by PLKPLS BK Jambi University Students.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology can expose children to various digital influences, which can affect their development positively or negatively. Based on the results of observations and interviews by PLKPLS students with several RT heads, many parents are very worried about the negative impacts that arise in the current digital era. Therefore, PLKPLS BK students held this Digital Parenting Mini Talkshow activity, which aims to provide insight to the Beliung Village community as parents on how to face the challenges of educating children in the digital era. In addition, it offers parents ways to educate children to use technology wisely. This activity was held on November 14, 2024, which was attended by the Beliung Village Family Empowerment and Welfare (PKK) Cadres. It is hoped that this mini talkshow activity will increase awareness of the importance of wise parenting in the technological era and provide practical guidance for parents on how to educate their children in a relevant and flexible way.
