Analysis of Downstream Technological Needs of Research Results Based MBKM

Abstract
The application of university research outcomes through intellectual property (IP) serves as a strategic effort to enhance community welfare. This study aims to develop a model for the down streaming of research outcomes based on intellectual property integrated with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, particularly the village development scheme. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The study was conducted at Jambi University and MBKM-supported villages, involving students, lecturers, and community members as primary participants. The findings indicate that developing a research down streaming three key components: the management of research outcomes as intellectual property, the design and evaluation of project-based learning, and the application of research outcomes for community empowerment. The resulting model is designed to promote the utilization of research outcomes in supporting village development, enhance students' competencies through experiential learning, and create sustainable benefits for the community. This study is expected to contribute to higher education by integrating research outcomes with the MBKM program while strengthening its role in community development.
